Watching a 3 year old finally get to play like the "big kids" is reason enough to buy this system. The fact that it's educational and helps them be active is a bonus. It does what it says and entertains while it trains.

My daughter is three and she is not really into video games at all ( I learned quite quickly after buying this!) She had quite a hard time trying to figure out how to work this and became really frustrated. She has not once asked to use it since. I think the age is more appropriate for 4 and up.

I purchased this for my two children ages 3 & 5 for Christmas and they just loved it. Yesterday, December 30, it quit working !!! 5 days of fun and now we have to go through the hassle of sending it in for repair/replacement if we can. My children are quite upset and so am I. This is not what I call a quality product if it breaks after 5 days. I had even read other reviews with this same problem and hoped it wouldn't happen to me. It did. I should have heeded others' warnings and so should you.

I bought this system for my 3 year old this christmas. All that she could talk about is how santa was going to bring her a V-smile and she could play dora and wonderpets. Well its christmas morning and she got her V-smile. We hooked it up and opened all the games that she wanted started the system and-----NOTHING just a blue screen saying V-smile. We try and call the 1-800- customer service number and guess what it is disconnected...lol....go figure. To make a long story short my 3 year old daughter took to her room and just layed on her bed.......THANKS V-TECH what a piece of junk.

Since the wii and its games cost more, this is good for an educational alternative for kids. Plus the wii games are so horrible and good for only about a week before they're so boring you try to exchange them for 4 dollars at gamestop and lose out on 39 bucks. The games for this thing are way cheaper, and educational.
