easy to play. my daughter who is 4 can play the whole game by her self now, but needed some help in the beginning. vtech recommended for ages 4-6 I would recommend for ages 3-5 if your kid is smart. mine caught on to the game quick

I purchased this product for my Grandson. He plays all of his Vtech games every day.

Of all the games for this age range that my daughter has, this is one of her favorites. Some of the graphics on these games are kind of crappy, this one is pretty good and like I said she likes it...

This game is wonderful! My 4yo boy loves it and it's easy enough to play that I don't have to sit next to him to explain how to do every move.

This game is great in that it teaches shapes, spatial skills, numbers, colors, skill development games, etc. There is a ton of hand holding in the game, as Dora isn't allowed to fall off a cliff or get hurt (compare to Pooh's game). Play is a bit slow also with regard to Dora's movements, especially compared to the Pooh Bear game, which is a bit more fast paced, although both are within the same age range. Thus, this game can be a bit painful for grownups while they are teaching their kids how to play it.
This game also emphasizes spanish translations a bit too much for colors, numbers, verbs, etc. which may or may not interest you as a parent. When I say too much, most times the words aren't even spoken in English, only Spanish. I think early on, focus/mastery should be on English rather than Spanish added into the mix, so it's a downpoint for me. This cartridge is probably more 3-5 rather than 4-6, but it teaches a lot, especially compared to Cars and Wiggles. This smartridge is definitely more learning game and less video game.
