"Not much learning going on here..." 2009-02-02
By L. Pomaville (Wisconsin, USA)
My 4 year olds love Spiderman so I got them this game, but I'm very disapointed since there's really not much learning in this game. It's basically a jump and run sort of game. There's a section where you shop with Spiderman. Shopping with Spiderman? How strange is that. I do not recommend this game if you have this system so your kids can learn something.

"TO hard for 4 year olds" 2009-01-10
By Marcia99116 (Indianapolis, IN)
I got this for my 4 year old since it recommends 4-6 (and Wall.e was super easy and his first and only game so he got board of it after a few days). After helping my son play it and giving him advice on how to do certain aspects their is one part of the game that he is just not able to do on his own - you have to jump on logs in numerical order. You have to pick which number comes after the one you are on - at 4 he does not recognize the numbers and which one comes next. If they would have made this a speaking part (like when you place the cursor over the number it says what it is) this would have been a little easier. It does tell you the number - but after you have already selected the right one.

Anyway, their are other parts of the game that are more challenging too - I have helped him figure out a few of the difficult items (like matching the letters to the word - pointing out that one he needs to match is blue, etc.).

Their are several different parts that ask for numbers in order in this game. He is smart but just started pre-school this year so he doesn't know that yet.

I will be getting some more games that are recommended for the 3-5 year old crowd!

***I also did a review of the v-motion system as a whole - personally I recommend leapster for the ease of playing at this age.

"It isn't for four year olds" 2009-01-06

I got this for my four year old nephew and parts of this game is way to hard for him. You have spelling and reading which is past his preschool level.
