This product is great for teaching young kids how to express what the weather is doing. Even if they are a little young like my daughter (2 1/2) they still think it's fun talking about the weather and what day it is etc.
We hang it high so she cannot reach it because the small pieces could get lost and I have a 16 month old who would eat them. But we have fun putting the pieces on together.

Every day my daughter says, "We have to change the Calendar!" My son is the weather boy. Great for learning, hard on my back, since I have to pick the kids up to change the date/weather. They are 4 and under so these little pieces would be everywhere if I didn't have it posted high enough.

I got this calendar to help my 4 year old boy learn his days/weeks/months. It's just the right size to have on the wall, the years go from 2010 to 2015, and the pieces are well made. My only complaint is that my 2 year old takes off the velcro pieces all at once, but they are bright and easy to find. I've had this calendar for about 1 month now and we've used it every morning and haven't lost a piece yet. it's a great prompter to review what day yesterday was and what day today is, how many days of school are left, how long year is... Overall a great buy!

My daughter is 4 years old and loves this calendar. It is a great reinforcement for what she has learned in school and she enjoys using her imagination to pretend to play school with it.

My son is in Pre-K and learning seasons of the year, days of the week, months of the year, and counting. He loves pulling off the numbers and talking about what day of the week it is. He also loves going to look out the window at the weather outside to put the right designation on his "calendar." As a parent, I see the educational value of this product. It helps with word recognition in addition to increasing kindergarten preparedness. It is very durable too!
