I ordered this in hope of cutting down on batteries like most people. What I received in the mail was a package that came with just the wall adapter and no car jack. I plugged the adapter into the DIDJ and the power came on then the second you move the toy, no power. After a few times of doing this the DIDJ will tell you to hook up to your computer for a tune up. The DIDJ will not work until you do this. When hooked up to the computer it downloads updated files and then tells you to go ahead and eject your DIDJ, that you can now play.
After all that we tried to plug in the adapter again only to go through that trouble again.
As far a the DIDJ leapster, that handheld is great and my daughter loves it, that I would recommend.
This plug I would not buy if you intend on using it for the DIDJ leapster, it just doesn't work with it.

It's nice not going through batteries at home. Home plug works well with the Leapster Game. The car adapter works well and gives my son endless play on long trips and I don't have to carry extra batteries.

Its essential for everyone to own this if you have a Leapster2 (I'm assuming it works with other Leapsters as well). In the car, at home, at the doctors office, if there is a plug, you're set. No more wasting money on batteries.
