I bought this item thinking that it is a microphone that supports different cartridges. It turns out that this item has an inbuilt cartridge that you cannot change-you are stuck with the two books that come along with it. THIS IS NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE IN THE ADVERTISEMENTS.

I bought these on sale (...)and it was more than worth it. I would even say they are worth more than that. My sisters and their kids were at my house (7 kids) and we all took turns making the different recordings (even the adults) and we were cracking up. I wish I would have gotten extras for Christmas gifts!

It has lot of problem, most of time it's cartridge will not be recognozed by Leap Pad.
