I bought this book, and then returned it to the store. It is VERY distasteful. It is one thing to have a farting dog, but another to have that being all the book is about. Every page he is farting for another reason. I think this book is over the line where humor is concerned. This is a very impressionable age where we need to be teaching our kids manners, that farting in public is rude. If it's funny in the book, why wouldn't it be in public? That is the message we are giving our kids. I am a fan of TAG books. But certainly not this one.

I think this book is completely inappropriate! What a disappointment from the Leap Frog family! We LOVE the TAG system, and all of the other books we have are wonderful. My husband purchased a bundle of them, and this one was included. I wanted to read through it before giving it to my 4 yr old daughter, and I was appauled! There are so many other quality, educational TAG books to choose from. This one crosses the line, and I'd recommend all parents to leave it OUT of your TAG book collection!

What a cute book! My son got this for Christmas, and it's one of his two favorites (the other being T-Rex's Mighty Roar of course). We are such fans of the Tag reader, a system that really makes books come alive. My son is learning to read, and the Tag pen has given him such independence to sound things out on his own and proudly point out to me that he knows words like "moo!" Really neat story, made all the better by the silly voices and interactive activities/games that are built into this book. Highly recommended!

My son loves his tag reader and Click Clack is a great story but as a Tag book it simply doesn't take advantage of the pen. Most of the illustrations are fairly simple so there's just not a lot for the reader to "click" on. I would not recommend starting with this one or even making it one of your earlier purchases unless your child simply loves the story. It hasn't captured the long-term play like the Up or Cat in the Hat book have. Pass.

This particular story is enjoyable for kids and cute for adults, too. It's a nice book about literacy and the power of reading and writing, but told in a cute, fun way. I haven't tired of it after about 20 sessions, and neither has my boy.

This classic story is cute, the voices well done, and the games are interesting for her. I think the games are a bit easier on this story, which is good since she is only 3.5 years old. Highly recommend!

I've reviewed the Tag and the books. Basically I would place this book towards the top of the heap. Sponge Bob is so far the best followed by this book. I rate the books on quality of inter-activity and content. Not to mention the art work is of a quality that you would expect. The voices seem off but I'd have to see the movie again to verify. Overall a decent book and 2nd on my recommendation list.

I loved the idea of introducing this classic to my children. My two boys just love it. I couldn't speak higher of the Tag system. My four and two year old both use it. My only gripe is that I'm just waiting for the pages to get torn, I know they will be eventually. Such a shame, for a $[...] book. We're teaching careful handling, and as long as it holds up, this book will be in our favorites pile for a long time.

I was a bit worried when we bought this as I was concerned it would not be used or it might be used as a game instead of an educational toy to help with reading. I had nothing to worry about! This was bought for my daughter who is 5 for her bday and both my 3 year old son and her always fighting for it! It's definitely worth the money and I have ALWAYS enjoyed leapfrog toys. We have most of them!!!

It not only can be used to help with reading but also has audio so the child can hit a "button" on the page and it reads the page for you. Also, you can use the Tag Pen to select the pictures on the page and they all say something. Pretty neat tool!!

This book is a classic as far as I'm concerned. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the voice/reading. He reads the book almost like a song and pauses at certain times which sometimes makes my daughter think it is time to turn the page. Nothing horrible, but just wanted to mention it in the review! I would definitely still purchase the book, though! The whole TAG reading system is great!

This is the classic Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss that works with Leap Frog's Tag system. Definitely a must have for any Dr. Seuss fan which my son is. The one downside of this Tag book is that the games aren't all that great and there aren't any extras in the back of the book but I can't really fault it for that. The book is quite long and I doubt that I could've really come up with anything better given the original artwork they had to work with. Any book that was written specifically for the Tag is going to have games and activities that are more fun. You should probably make that assumption up front though. Still, it's a great book made even better with Leap Frog's Tag.

Cute idea, cute book, love the tag system, but hate that you have to download tons of stuff that has taken me hours and still don't have the book downloaded. I'm sure it's a glitch in the system, but I've had to download software that took about 30 mins, then another sign up process, then the book, and then it didn't work and it shut down my computer.. still don't have it on the pen. Why didn't the books just come with a cartridge or something?? And I didn't know that the pen didn't hold but 5 books at a time, so if your on a long trip, you can't take all your books with you.. only the 5 that will fit on the pen. Just tid bits of information I'd have liked to have known prior to my purchase. Hope it helps you:)

I was surprised at how well this tag reader book works, a very good value. The tag reader itself is amazing. This would be very handy for those times you can't read to the kids, like when you are driving and they are in the back seat for those long car rides. If your little one likes the Fancy Nancy series, she'll love this book for the Tag. The voices are great and the interactive games that test reading comprehension are excellent. It's also a nice reprieve from reading all the other Fancy Nancy books you're used to reading. It doesn't get "old" as quickly as a regular book due to its interactive nature (much like any of the other Tag books), but it's great because she's so popular with my daughter.



This one is a bit more "mature" in terms of reading comprehension. Usually my daughter can answer the game questions on her own easily enough, but with this book the "fancy" words can be a bit challenging for her (she's in Kindergarten) so I see this book lasting us a little bit longer than some of the other, more juvenile books.
