Purchased this joystick so a second player can participate in the VTECH Flash games. There is nothing wrong with the joystick, it works fine. It is easy to use and we love the versatility of it because it is made to accomodate left and right handed people. Which is why we gave it a 5 star review. HOWEVER, when using this joystick as a second player, it was not as we expected. We were hoping the two players could play simultaneously and interact with each other's characters while playing games. That isn't the case. Only one person plays at a time. So, interest is easily lost when waiting for a player to complete the game. This is no fault of the joystick. However, my kids (ages 6 and 4) won't use this joystick as a second player because either way, they are waiting to take a turn and as I stated eariler, ineterest is lost. So, if you are considering this as a buy for the second player option, it may not be worth your money.

I have bought both the blue vmotion and the pink one..i have exeperienced the same problem with both. They do not power up all the time. After the first vmotion i would not have bought another one,but my daughter really wanted it again and I had already invested 100s of dollars into the games. What a mistake. This was definitely a learning system. I learned to not buy too many games for a system right up front, give it some time to ensure it works properly. If you are wanting to get a game system for your child, buy the leapster 1 or the wii. Leapster 1 is amazing. Wii is fun for the whole family. If you are worried about educational purposes Leapster or the computer are your best option (electronics wise).

My children (3 & 4) received the console at Christmas with a game and a single controller. This obviously tested their sharing skills to the maximum! The controllers were extremely hard to get hold of in the UK prior to Christmas (think Buzz Lightyear, "Tickle me" Elmo etc.!) and so when I found one on Amazon for half the money I jumped at it. The controller does exactly as you'd expect, and exact replica of the one that comes with the console. One nice feature is the option to invert the control so you can have the joystick on either side - simple, but really useful.



Not much more to say. The games are a bit lack lustre, but educational to an extent. I suspect the kids will soon leave this behind now they've seen daddy's old PS2 with Lego Star Wars!

Our 3 1/2 year old daughter got a pink game console for Christmas. It comes with 1 controller and we will need another one for when her little brother gets older. When I saw this I thought it would be a good idea to have the controller in another color to keep the number of fights about which one belongs to who down.

it you have the vmotion system if you donot you should get one if you have a child ages 2 1/2-8 the second controller is a must This help with playing together with ours. Sometimes that is hard for a 3yr old. it's also a great toy for learning.
