this game is very fun, especially for jack sparrow/pirates of the carribean fans! it is captivating and fun to do.
From the Fly 1.0 version of this: The fly fusion version is updated, better graphics, neater, and those things, but the game itself is about the same. which isn't a bad thing!
I just wanted to let everybody know, if it has a dark grey bar all the way down the side of the software, it is for the FLY 1.0, if it has a 1/2 way white/gray fading bar down the side, it is for the FLY FUSION. please make note of that, i have seen so many items online stores/auctions (such as ebay) that have mismatched software. for example, the fly fusion with fly 1.0 software. they DON'T work together...the fly fusion must have fly fusion software and the fly 1.0 must have fly 1.0 software. it has to be like that or it won't work.
please make note of that!

This map is confusingly folded, and mostly just lays out the numerous bathrooms of the castle. I am not kidding! There are three different bathrooms labeled (boys/girls/prefects), however, only ONE classroom (defense against the dark arts). Geez, if I need to pee I am in luck!
Also, the many ridiculous folds allow for NO CONTINUITY at all within the map, and there is much more made up "magical" language than real english written on the map to understand anything written on it. My 9 year old avid Harry Potter fan, as well as myself, are very dissappointed. Save your money and draw one yourself.

First off let me say I am happy with this map especially for the general price range. I am a serious collector of movie memorabelia and have quite an extensive collection from many movies.
The first thing I noticed is the map is not really movie accurate at all. It's a little smaller in scale and folds out not quite far enough with not as many hidden folds as the original.
BUT!...... it's actually quite nice anyway. It can be framed so long as the last folds on either end are left folded due to the extra printed game symbols which kind of ruin the movie accuracy integrity and it's printed on nice glossy paper. For a REAL movie accurate copy, "The Noble Collection" offers a far more accurate copy on parchment with all the extra folds and is actually a good 20 inches wider and 25% taller. Of course expect to pay more for that one.
For the average collector, this fly game map is perfect and still looks great.

I bought two of these at once -- one for my teen daughter and one for myself. With the exception of the glossy paper it is printed on, it looks identical to the Marauder's Map in the Prisoner of Azkaban movie (even with the cool vertical fold-out center section). It does have the red Fly logo placed discreetly on the lower front of the map...it looks like a wax candle seal, and doesn't look too out-of-place. And there are places in between a few folds of the map that have areas for the game playing aspect of this map. And the whole back of the map has games and instructions printed on it. We bought it just to have a realistic Marauder's Map..and we are 100% happy. (We don't have the FLY computer pen to play the game, so we can't comment on that aspect of the item). Both my daughter and I just love it as a wonderful momento from the movie and book... and we both pull it out and look at it often... it's very realistic!

Writing with this can be a tad difficult but you adjust to it fast. You cannot rewrite anything or it will write it again in it's memory. Spelling normaly comes out right, just be careful because it capitalizes things alot. Be aware that this only works with FLY fusion and not just Fly. Overall I love the dictionary and thesaurus.

I had bought the Fly pen during holiday sales at a discount and was excited to see what it could do. The notebooks I got worked great but the journal's software wouldn't load on the pen properly. I contacted the company about my problem and did not receive a response. I also tried to find a fix online but was unable to do so. I do not recommend.

This is a typical notebook, although you need it's special paper for the Fly Fusion to work. For the price it could perhaps have another hundred pages, but otherwise it's a good solid notebook. Good binding, thick cover, has the Fly Fusion controls on the cover.

I bought the Journal along with the pen and an extra notebook. The Journal software won't load on my pen. I tried taking other applications on and off the pen, and that was easy. I did not get the memory expansion module.
Anyways, I cannot use this software on my pen, and so it is useless.

I too am an adult user of the FLY Fusion Pentop Computer. This Journal is a terrific tool! Compact and not as cumbersome as the notebooks which are more appropriate for school or work note-taking. I have no problems carrying around this lovely journal.
Points to note: If you want to write cursive and have it translated into text, you need to make SURE your lower loops from a line above do not intersect with the upper loops from a line below! This tends to make nonsense when translating to text. Also my smiley face became "Qvoogoegoaooodofloj" which is probably a good name for the face I drew. :)
Great hints for writers block too! This journal is a must have for Journal writers and users of the Fly Fusion Pentop Computer!

My son had the Fly Pen and has his own laptop so when the Fly Fusion came out he continually asked for it. He got it for Christmas and writes in the journal and notebook, and loves the translation piece (although it took him awhile to write the letters clear enough to translate as he is a lefty). It's nice to see him this involved in something that's not a video game. The Fly Fusion pen and products are extremely educational.

This notebook was designed to be used with the fly fusion (grey or black version--the use the same everything, and the pens are the exact same thing, besides the color). The notebooks have (I think) 100 to 150 pages in them, and are very thick. They last a lot longer than an average notebook, and are much more useful. The notebook pages have thousands of tiny dots (that cannot be seen unless you look very close) that track where you are on the page, what you're writing, and what you're doing. On the front cover of the notebook is the control panel which lets you adjust the volume, use a calculator, turn the recording feature ON or OFF, play Mp3's, set reminders, check the battery level/memory status/ memory available/etc, check the date/time, set up different features (such as what you want it to say when it turns on, set a tune, say nothing, or customize what it says. I have it set so it says "Hi [my name]" chances are if you have a long or unique name, it will pronounce it wrong. but my name is very simple) the control panel also lets you access all of your applications and software and gives you tours of everything you can do, how to do things, etc, etc!
the back of the notebook is the music studio pro. if you don't purchase the "music studio" software, you can only use the basics, such as the keyboard, the sounds, and beats. If you do purchase the sofware ($6-10) you can use all of it, which is quite a bit more. you can record what you play [on the keyboard], use different sounds for the keyboard (about 30 more) and soo much more.
you need the notebooks to use the fly fusion hadwriting-to text feature.

This is a very special and interesting product. However, if you buy this or I suppose any other item from Amazon, read every single word of the sale information very carefully. As has just been clarified by Amazon, when a product is sold out, especially if you use one-click, Amazon goes to the marketplace dealers to get the item. You may be thinking you are getting the item at the price stated in the description, when in fact you may pay much, much more. I ended up paying $54. for this 7.99 item because I didn't read the final statement of cost and cancel the order. I assumed my order was strictly through the Amazon description for 7.99. I was never prompted to consider the market dealers under new and used. It was done for me, and the choice made for me. Probably, if I had not trusted my years of previous experience and had read every shred, I would have known this. Just be careful. It seems more like a web site glitch than malice, but annoying.
