This toy is so cheap, it disintegrated in the box before it was ever mailed to us. We wrapped this 'new' toy up as a gift and were mortified to find that the batteries were so rusty they were almost molding - then when we put new batteries in, the screen made some brief attempt at saying something - but it was nothing more than jibberish. It's obvioulsy just cheap plastic with a useless computer chip. The screen cover is cracked and we have never even used it. No word yet from the company (because it's Christmas day) but I will never buy another toy made by Citizen MD. Save your $$ - don't buy this!

Purchased this bag for our daughter as well as the blue/grey one for a boy's gift. We had my daughter's name embroidered on the front pink under the grey label and the blue/grey one was embroidered on the shoulder strap.



Both are a typical backpack, but have elastic storage pouches inside to hold the small Leapster cartridges. The backpacks are slightly lined, which helps a bit with the rough handling of the kids :) I'm not sure I understand other reviews of quality. This is a great bag for the value!

My daughter got it this Christmas to hold her LMax. The LMax fits nicely into the front pocket. Games and wires fit inside the backpack which has 2 roomy pockets inside. This is a great item to hold her LMax and accesories. It is not padded, however, it serves it's purpose nicely. My daughter also liked the look and color.

This is a decent bag. Like other reviewers noted, it is made of a thin ripstop material. I have had no problems though with this one or my son's gray/blue one (which we have had for 2++ years). The main compartment has 2 pockets, one on top for cords, and one on the bottom for the handheld itself. The small exterior pocket is for holding the cartridges (and can hold many). However, to keep my 20 months and 4 1/2 yr olds entertained while we wait for appointments or while out eating dinner, it can hold all of these items as well as small coloring pages (travel Aqua Doodle, or Aqua Doodle sheets and water pens), crayons, small puzzles, deck of cards and other things. I would confirm this as a good purchase, though another backpack might be suitable...the added smaller interior pockets makes organizing easier for my children to find the exact itme they want. The only drawback I find is that (obviously, my daughter being only 20 months) it is not geared for a smaller child. The small pink triangle at the top of the straps does not allow it to fit as well as it probably could. Whereas the blue/gray one with the single adjustable strap is a better design and stays on no matter how it fits on your child.

My main problem with this bag is that it is easy to lose the games out of. Once you open the big or the small section they are just in there, not held down by anything. We've already lost one cartridge, but otherwise it is a great way to carry the Leapster around!

My husband and I looked at all the so called toddler "computers" on the market. Those things with the 2x2 screen and not much else? We decided to save our money. Then going through a Costco in JAPAN of all places, we ran across this item. IT'S FABULOUS (and yes it was in English though we were in Japan)! It has 30 "games" that cover all areas of reading, writing, comprehension, math, and even mock "email" so they understand the workings of a real PC. My oldest son--he was 2 1/2 when we bought it--figured out pretty fast which codes were associated with his favorite games. He also figured out the Help button would give the right answer if he didn't know. :) Now every time he sees the letter A he says, "A. Airplane!", because that's the word association the computer makes. We ordered our second one from Amazon because our younger boy was always wanting to play with it too. We may have to get a third when our daughter hits toddlerhood! I was disappointed that Amazon didn't offer free shipping with this item. But it's still worth getting. LOVE IT!!

I bought this video for my son about a month after he turned 2 and within a month he could say all the letters and within about a month and a half he was starting to tell me what all the sounds are the letters make. He is 2 1/2 now and still enjoys the viedo, he can identify all the letters of the alphabet and tell you what sound they make. We have now moved on to the "Talking Words Factory" so he can start learning how to put the letters together. He still enjoys this video as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with children, he learned all of this very quickly with this video.

This is a great video for toddlers and kids who enjoy the alphabet and learning letters. This video is interesting because instead of the focus being on the sound of the letter, it focuses on the sound the letter makes. For example...instead of saying just "a" they say the "a" says "ah" the "b" says "buh" ect. My daughter has a speech delay but this video has helped her tremendously.
