This is a great compact case to hold a leapster and a few game cartridges, while small and light enough for my six-year-old to carry. I can also safely chuck all the white plastic boxes in which the cartridges came. Love it.

I have 2 granddaughters that I purchased Leapfrogs and accessories for this christmas. I purchased the hardshell game for the 4 yr old to tote her leapster. It is perfect for her, not to cumbersome...just the right size for the leapster and a couple of game cartridges. The hardshell is nice so when she runs into things or drops it it is still protected...yikes! Since I am a "neat freak" this was worth the money for me to keep from picking up a Leapster and accessories from around my home.

But....I must add if your child/grandchild is a little more responsible and likes backpack style carriers then check out the soft-sided messenger bag LeapFrog Leapster Messenger Bag. I bought my 6 yr old granddaughter the messenger bag and it holds EVERYTHING and then some...LOL! She absolutely adores the bag more than the Leapster (she loves bags)...LOL!

Santa brought my daughter the Leapster 2 and it's case, but I'm a bit disappointed in the case. It is durable but the way it holds 3 games is not that great. They don't "fit" in like I'd hoped and the band barely holds them in. I don't see how it would hold four games like the description says. They could have easily made something better to hold the games in. Every time she opens the case, her games fall out. All in all, I'd still buy the case to have something to keep it all together, I just think they could have made it a little bit better.

It's a tight squeeze when taking him from his house to mine. He's happy he has his own computer. He found the draw, color and decorate himself and loves it.

I personally don't think this is the best case for the leapster. Even though it protects it, it falls out when my son is opening up the case. The leapster is not tight to anything. There is a band but seems to be for games not the leapster itself.
