My 9 month old loves this thing. But I have to disagree with some of the reviewers who praised the low annoyance factor of this toy. The songs drill into your brain like parasites... If I hear "spin spin a letter" one more time I think I'm going to scream. But, like I said, the baby loves it and it keeps him entertained, so the toy comes out almost every day.

This was a huge hit for a 17 month old boy. He absolutely loves it! He is learning the different sounds the animals make and he is trying to pronounce their names too. He loves to spin it to see what it will fall on next but he is partial to Sheep.

This toy is spectacular!! We bought it for our 4 month old 2 weeks ago & he can't get enough of it. He loves that he can get it to spin on his own & I do see enormous teaching potential for animals/sounds/letters in the coming months. I definitely recommend this for any & all little ones!

My 8 month old daughter loves toys that she can spin. She gets so excited when she sees the wheel move knowing she made it do that. I bought one of those spinners with the suction cup on the bottom and she went apesh** over it - but it kept getting unstuck. So I bought this because it has a wide sturdy base. Like I hoped, it stays put so she can spin to her heart's content. I only wish it did something more interesting in response. She is far too young to care about the letters or animals - she'd rather it had cool lights or beads to rattle. She honestly enjoys spinning it just as much when the sound is turned off - it adds nothing to the experience.

My daughter recieved this when she was around 6 months old... and is now 14 months and is still a favorite in the hosue! She likes to spin the animals and find her favorites... the dog and such, and now she spins it with her feet! Funny to watch. I will say however that some of the animals have odd noises and wish they were the actual animal instead of a sound. But who can really imitate a jellyfish? Over all it has been a well used purchase and am happy to have spent the money.
