Used for a 30 month old child. Two levels for each game. Uses the level 1 games but already is getting the idea how all the keys work. Knows letters already and where the keys are. Levels 1 is good for under 3 and level 2 is more advanced and faster games. We have the finding Nemo game which is fun and kinda advanced for a 30 month old but in time the game will be suitable. I would use this as a way to teach kids how to use the computer keys and to have fun while learning. If the child is over four years old I would consider buying a game or two along with the system.
We keep the system under our TV stored so our child can ask to use the computer and we then set it up and it lasts for about twenty minutes at a time. BUY THE ADAPTER, WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Bought it for my three year old. He was so excited. The first few minutes while it was working made me feel like the hero. 10 minutes later when the mouse stopped working, on the verge of tears, my son didn't undertand. He kept asking me to fix it. When I said I couldn't he thought he was being punished.
DO NOT BUY!!!
I would also never buy any other Leapfrog products.

First of all, in my opinion, the games for this system are great and my preschooler loves them. BUT I would not recommend this system for the following reasons:
- The mouse is very awkward and doesn't work well in a child's hand. My son gets frustrated with it, which is a problem since most of the games require the mouse, not the keyboard.
- I was highly disappointed to find that a power supply was not included with the system. You have to buy it separately, which was not disclosed on the box. It takes 4 C batteries, and it goes through them very quickly. For the price, a power supply should have been included.
- I have a difficult time finding games for it. Target doesn't carry them at all. Walmart only has a few. And they're not cheap.
Overall, I don't think this system is worth the cost. I wish I had done my research and purchased something different.

Gave this to my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She loves it. "I want to play my puppy" is heard several times a day at our house. The unresponsiveness of the mouse is a bit disappointing at times, but she manages.
Also frustrated that I am having difficulty finding the additional game cartridges in any brick-n-mortar stores. Prior to buying the unit, I saw them there, but now I cannot find any.

I have two nephews that I have purchased this for. One was a year ago and he still loves it so I bought it for the younger nephew, different side of the family, and he loves his too! An excellent fun learning tool.
