I bought this camera for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. I had no idea it took videos, which she loved. Her sister, who is 7, fought over it so much I had to buy her one as well. They literally discover something new on this camera everyday. I takes pictures, videos, plays games. They can make video with pigs running across the screen. They can take pictures of people and make them look like an alien. This is an amazing product and I would highly recommend it!

We bought this for our daughter's third birthday. She absolutely loves it. She even sleeps with it occasionally. It has been dropped, banged, stepped on, etc. and had totally stood up to the abuse. So far she can turn it on and off and take pictures by herself. The pictures she takes aren't fabulous by photography standards but for a three year old learning to use a camera they are just fine. We have not bought any other items to go with the camera. It holds a very large number of pictures. We have not had to buy batteries yet--but we had the battery talk with our daughter and she is very good about turning it off when not playing with it. I think this is an excellent learning camera. My husband and I have played the games that are on it and think they will be entertaining for her as she learns to use them as well as the photo editing and video making features. For us this was well worth every penny we paid!

I bought this for a 3 year old. Of everything she received for the christmas, she plays with this the most. She never gets tired of it!

Fairly simple (does have a few more buttons than I'd prefer.. but I think she'll grow into the other features)

Cons:
Not very many. I've heard that this goes through batteries fast, but I havent noticed that. Just make sure you turn it off between uses.

I purchased the VTech Preschool Kidizoom Plus Digital Camera for my 2 year old granddaughter. She was already taking picture and videos with my Blackberry Phone so I thought she could take picture and videos with this camera as well. I have to say the camera was the hit on Christmas and she has mastered the technology and has taken some great pictures. The camera is built well and will withstand the beating that a toddler can give it. It also has other great features that she will learn as she gets older. The adults had fun playing the games that are also on the camera. We have not used the software that came with the camera yet so I can't comment on that.
