Seriously, she LOVES this thing. I had to reduce my rating because I can't get the flippin' ABC song out of my head now. She presses the button over and over. She sings along (we think) and dances like crazy. She's 18 mo so can not figure out how to put the letters in every time, but boy, she loves that button that plays that ENTIRE ABC SONG. Worth every penny.

My son loved to play with magnets on the fridge, so I wanted to get him some letters for the fridge. The ones that I remembered from when I was a kid had a little magnetic piece on the back--choking hazard! This toy doesn't have that and is safe for little ones. Playing with magnets on the fridge encourages sitting and standing as well.
As to the specifics of the toy, I absolutely LOVE the fact that the LeapFrog toys sing the alphabet in such a way that "L M N O P" don't get mangled together. The magnets are a good shape and size, and the player part sticks just fine to our fridge. The only thing I don't like, which isn't a problem with the toy itself, is that with so many pieces, they get lost sometimes. Do inventory from time to time.
I am certain that he will get lots of use out of this toy!

Both my children and every child that passes the fridge plays with this toy. My almost 3 year old has a slight speech promblem and is speech therapy and this toy has been very helpful she repeats the way it says to say the letter and she tries to correct herself when she says things wrong. Great gift from the grandparents.

My son and daughter love the toy, but after one year, the music button is sticking and difficult to push. But it scrtched the S%@t out of my fridge, try using it on a baking sheet instead.

My kids got this toy for Christmas 5 years ago. They were 3yrs and 6 months at the time and they both loved it. It helped them both with learning their alphabet and recognizing letters and their sounds. After 5 years, this toy still gets played with and works great. This is one of the only educational toys that my children have had that they did not lose interest in after a few weeks. This toy has been such a great learning tool for my kids, I am buying another one for my new little nephew.
