I am a professional musician, so I might be overly sensitive to these things, but this keyboard is completely out of tune. I don't mean "it's not tuned exactly to A 440 concert pitch" I mean the notes are not in tune with each other. If you follow the "sheet music" included in this you get a minor rather than a major "Row, row, row your boat" and a "Twinkle Twinkle" with a minor sixth instead of a major one. It's nice that they attempt to have a complete octave, but if all you have are eight notes they'd better be the eight notes of the major scale!
Not usable in my opinion.
I can't speak to the durability or other usability issues mentioned in other reviews because we didn't even take it out of the box and are sending it back.

This is a great toy, and not just for those 18 months and over.
When he was 4 months old, my son picked this out at the store; he seemed intrigued by the tones when I demonstrated it. I placed it at the end of his play gym, and one day he stretched out a foot and hit a piano key. Bing! He stretched out another foot. Beng! I could almost see the wheels turning. Excited, he started kicking fast, realizing his feet were playing a tune, and he loved it! I always kept the piano far enough away that he would hit only the plastic piano keys and not the harder xylophone keys. During tummy time, this was a toy to which he would stretch, and playing it made him forget that he was on his tummy.
A year and a half later, he plays with this all the time. When he was learning to stand and walk, we kept this on the ground, because it could hurt if it fell. Now we keep it on a low table at "piano" height, and he plays both the piano and the xylophone (yes, the string is a bit too short, but the lawyers probably designed it).
Another big plus to this toy: No batteries.

He is 8 months old and I put away the sticks because I am afraid he will poke his eyes out with it, plus he still does not have the coordination to use them. He likes to bang on the keys to make lots and lots of noise. So far it is quite durable and light enough for my son to pick it up, flip it, and bang on the bottom of it. I do not know about other parents but I still think that the sticks are a hazard if they have it near their nose, mouth or eyes and trip or fall over. I wouldn't chance it but then again maybe I am over sensitive. I got it for cheap, 19.95 shipped and buy one get one free. One for my son and one for his cousin. Good bargain, great toy (one of his favorites now)and I feel pretty good about purchasing it with the exception of the sticks, although he likes to bang on the xylophone with his hard plastic balls.

This is one of her favorite toys that she received for her birthday. She will dance to the background music non-stop.

very durable. my son uses it for a step stool more than he plays it. we had to remove the sticks cause the string was too short.
but it has been good for a little fun for my son. 25$ is a little high.
