I purchased this game as a Christmas present with the V. Smile system. I was really disappointed that in the sing-a-long activity, that they don't have the cute songs that are on the show. Having several gaming systems at home, I expected the graphics to be a little better than the Super Nintendo we had back in 1994! My daughter is a pretty advanced 3 year old, but struggles with the game functions. She plays for about 10 minutes and either gets frustrated or bored.

This is a nice alternative to some of the video games available to children. It is product that is very "safe" for children- no violence, aggressive behavior, nor in appropriate language. It makes my four year old feel like he is playing a big boy video game but allows me to feel at peace, as well.

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter and she has not mastered the game yet (it's for 3 to 5 yr), but she likes to try. I think when she masters the the joy stick, she will like it better. The game is fun for me to play with her. She loves Go Diego Go on TV and the game is just like it.

My son (3 years old) was so excited to get this toy. The excitement lasted about 2 days. Because it doesn't connect to anything else it's very limited in what you can do with it. A small length of track and that's about it. I tried to talk him out of it but now we have the orange track pieces everywhere and it never gets played with. Maybe a younger kid would enjoy it more. I'm disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it especially if you have any other train sets.

We gave this train to my 4 year old son for Christmas this year. He is going through a train phase and was very excited to open this up. It was quick and easy to setup and easy to set the train and cars on the track. In fact, my son was able to put the train on the track himself and hook up the cars without any help from my wife or I. We have had no issues with the train and plan to purchase some of the add-ons for it soon.



The Diego figure and the animals are good toys on their own as well so your child can get hours of play out of this set either using the train or not.



I recommend this train set to anyone with a young child that is in to trains and/or Diego.

I bought this toy for my son, for christmas. He likes it. It has a feature that I LOVE, if you pick the train up from the track, it turns off. The train will not go on anything but the track. Neat. I would recommend that you buy the track expansion pack when you buy this item though, because If you hook too many rescue cars to it, it will get hung up in a turn.

When we saw the Go Diego Go Train set, it was immediately our choice. We set it up for our 2 yr. old and he went to town playing w/it all of the time. He LOVES it!



The downside for us was when the batteries went dead, we unscrewed the plate and replaced the batteries but the plate will not screw back in. We had to Gorilla (duct) tape it for him to still be able to play with it. I will be calling the manufactor to see if we can get a replacement on the actual train portion. Not sure what will happen?



Until then, he is playing w/it, even w/the tape on it!
