 "LeapPad cd's" 2010-02-08
By Christine A. Meakin
I purchased this program for my granddaughter. She acquired a LeapPad a couple of years ago with only one CD. As she is now in kindergarten, I felt this would be a great tool for her education. I searched Amazon.com for the product as this version of the LeapPad software is now obsolete. I was extremely happy to find three different products that met my needs and I purchased all three.

 "Counting On Pooh" 2007-01-27
By M. Norton (merritt island, florida United States)
What a great way to teach little one how to count. Not only does it help with reading comprehension, it helps little one with number recongnition, social skills (Pooh is so polite) and helps with memory. My little one started with the leap frog products we're up to the quantum now and he still likes to get one of the younger books out just cause the stories are so cute and lots of fun.

It's a book filled with Pooh, Tigger and all the friends from the 100 acre woods. Learning last a lifetime, so get them started with fun friends from Leap Frog.

"Great Book but Unfriendly page-binding" 2006-03-02
By M. Sookhoo (Trinidad)
Bought this for my 3 year old daughter who really uses it a lot daily. The level of edutainment is excellent for her age and she learns a lot from it. My only sore point with it is the lack of strength of the perforated part of the pages (for the spiral binding). The pages tend to be separated there so I think it will be a good idea to strenghten the perforated part of the book or to use some other form of binding that will not decrease the overall strength.

"Count to 10 with Lots and Lots of Honeypots!" 2005-07-05
By History_of_Art_Geek (Phoenix, AZ)
Lots and Lots of Honeypots was one of the first LeapPad books my son received, so it's clocked in a good many hours of play. The story is straightforward, and easy for young preschoolers to grasp. Although, it's the games that really occupy my boy. There's loads of praise for the right answers, and a repeat of the question when answered incorrectly. I like this aspect of play, as it encourages learning. The activities challenge children to listen to instruction, recognize items, and follow through by touching the pictures on the pages.

It's difficult to get a 3-year old to listen for any great length of time, but this toy promotes listening, and focus. That alone deserves a decent rating from me. I recommend this book for children 3 and up, but caution parents that it may require some supervision. The GO button must be touched every time you turn the page, so the LeapPad can identify the page. This alone may cause frustration. The pages are sturdy; yet, little ones may get over anxious and crinkle the pages, or worse, tare them off the binding. I've repaired a few pages with tape, but it's not desirable.

I don't have any complaints about Lots and Lots of Honeypots; however, I've discerned over 6-months time that these books are mastered quickly. If there were more pages per books with progressive learning I wouldn't cringe so much at the price tag. Overall, I'm satisfied with the content of this book. I recommend it for young children who haven't mastered counting to 10.

 "An enduring favourite" 2004-07-15

My 4 yr old got this last christmas together with a few other titles. It's definitely his favourite and still keeps him occupied. There are nice counting and matching games and rhymes. It's pages are more interactive (more things to point to) than many other titles. Pooh's pronounciation makes him a little hard to understand at the beginning.

 "One of the best!" 2010-03-03
By Swiss (Virginia)
This is definitely one of my 5 yr olds favorite games. I have a 3 and a 5 year old daughters. I would say their most played games are this, Pet Pals, Letters on the Loose, and Get Puzzled. We also have a Diego, a Princess, a Nemo, and an I Spy game that get occassional play.

 "LOVE this game!" 2009-12-10
By SwimMom (Great North)
This was one of our first games. We bought this when our son was first entering K...we knew that he'd have some issues. He has LOVED this game. He still plays with it, even though he is halfway through 1st grade. Our 4.5yo daughter also loves this game. GREAT purchase!! Very educational yet fun. DS would play with this for an entire 3-hour car ride...impressive that it would hold his interest for that long.

This is a wonderful learning game. It was hard to get when I was looking for it. It is educational and fun. My 3yr old and 5 year old love it. As your child matures you go to the next level.

 "Easy to navigate" 2009-02-07
By Mom in Hooville (Charlottesville, VA)
One of my goals in getting games for our son's Leapster is that I wouldn't have to constantly help him. This game is easy to navigate and doesn't seem to frustrate him. It also has just enough of a challenge, so I don't think it's too easy either. I bought this at Wal-Mart for $18 (two weeks ago), so this price it a little steep.
