My daughter got this toy for Christmas, and shortly after Christmas, we sent the money for the caterpillars. Months later we realized that we never received the caterpillars (by then it was too hot to send them), so we contacted Spinmaster and told them when we sent the check and when it was cashed and that we never got any caterpillars. Their website said they would respond in 48 hours. We never received any response. Now we have an empty bug house and no bugs. We feel like we totally wasted our money.

Butterfly house was as expected.

Mailed away for Caterpillars they came in about 2 weeks they were great and easy, one was already hanging from the top the other 4 were hanging by the next day. They are now hanging in the house we are waiting for them to emerge. My 2 and 8 year old girls and my 4 year old nephew LOVED watching us move them from the cup to the house. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT the adults and kids can't wait to see and feed the butterflies.

My kids love the tree house, but my problem is the company. First, they need to say how much shipping and handling on the caterpillars are. It was an extra $25! They messed up my order, and when trying to fix it, they sent it anyway. Now I have two treehouses and I only wanted one. Then the charge to my card was a different amount than the receipt they sent me. Now I am trying to fix that but their customer service line is always closed. And they won't help me online- just keep telling me to call. DON'T BUY THIS! IF ANYTHING IS WRONG YOU WILL NEVER GET IT FIXED! BUY FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY!

My 3 year old received this as a gift and she loves it. Like most toddlers she does not have a long attention span but this toy holds her attention. I try to use it when we have time together so that I can ssist her with it but I find she does well with it on her on too. I have tried several other "electronic" toys made by others and they just do not keep her interest. This by far is the best product as it is interesting but has helped her to pick up so many different letter sounds in the process. She even learned to spell a few short words after using it only three times. Love it! Love it! Love it!

My 3 yr-old got this for Christmas, and he really enjoys it. He already knows his letter sounds, and we thought this would help him with the corresponding letter names and starting to form words for pre-reading skills. He really likes using the toy, although it is most effective when we sit and have one-on-one time with him while he uses it, so we can help him stay focused - a tough task for any 3 year old! It is also great to take in the car, as it is just the right size to hold in their lap. We wanted to encourage him in his interest of letters and reading but still keep it fun, and this toy helps! We also purchased the next toy Sizzle makes (Get Ready to Read Activity System for ages 4-7), so that as soon as he is ready we can get that out - it is even more interactive.

My 4 yr old loves playing with this, BUT, it is bad to freeze up and we constantly have to reset it with the reset button on the back, so that is irritating and aggravating to my son. I've noticed this also happening with the Hooked on Phonics Touch Screen Learner toy. I have noticed that my son has learned to spell more words since playing with this for only a couple of weeks.

We just received this toy as a gift for my four year old daughter. She loves it. It is a great teaching tool for letters and sounds. She enjoys spelling words like her older sister. It is a great confidence builder because she can work on the easier levels with ease. It has many levels to work through so she can build confidence while she progresses through them.

I was a bit disapointed with the product, it was difficult to see the little screen, and the letters should be done in white or black, so they can be seen more clearly. I always thought the Hooked on Phonics toys were superior to others, but not this one.

This is a nice viewmaster, but there aren't any view master disks sold at nearby stores like Target or Walmart. You almost have to purchase them online, and pay for shipping. They are a bit pricey, but for the money, they are almost worth it. My sons loves the African Jungles one. He enjoys it a lot. We use it right before bedtime, in lieu of a read aloud. He is 3 years old and loves the idea of a projector on his bedroom walls. It's great for boys!

I bought this toy as a Christmas gift for my 3 and 4 year old daughters. They love it and I happen to think it is pretty cool, too! It has become part of our bedtime routine. Every night at bedtime we pick our "movie" and the girls lay quietly listening to the "story". The projector comes with only one demo reel, so you must purchase others separately. I recommend the Discovery Channel reels-I only wish they had more to choose from. The thing that makes this toy cool is that it projects the images on the ceiling (or wall) and if you buy the reels that have sounds, you will hear several interesting facts as the pictures are displayed. You can choose to have the projector automatically advance to the next picture, or you can do it manually. All in all a great toy with some educational value and a great way to get the kids settled into bed.

I would LOVE to buy this toy for my 3-year-old, but upon looking, it appears there are only a handful of reels available with sounds. If I could find a nice selection of reels, I wouldn't hesitate. But make sure you know what you're getting -- this toy is somewhat expensive to have such limited use.

I bought this for my nephews 2nd birthday. He really likes it. It only came with a demo reel so we will have to get more reels and then im sure he will enjoy it even more. We use it mostly at night because it has to be pretty dark in the room to see it well. He has always liked looking at pictures so he really likes it because it puts the pictures on the wall and ceiling.

What a wonderful educational toy for kids. This view master with it exceptional images and sounds just captivates my 3-year old grandsons attention. On the negative side, there just are not enough 3d sound reels. I wish Discovery made more educational reels.
